Quality – Your needs and requirements in 1st Place
Our Quality Management System is certified in compliance to IATF 16949:2016. This certification provides the firm basis for our ability to make our products at a high level of quality, using stabile processes. In addition, we are able simultaneously, working from this basis, to continuously improve our products and processes.
Our company is, furthermore, certified in conformity to ISO 15001:2004 for Environmental Management and in conformity to ISO 50001 for Energy Management.
Process and approval tests are conducted at our locations. Thanks to our membership of the Group, we also have the ability to make use of the central chemical and technological laboratories of our parent company, Saarstahl AG. To guarantee impartial, high-quality and reliable test data, they are accredited by the German National Accreditation Body (DAkkS) in conformity to EN 17025. External acceptance inspections are also part of our daily work.

Quality – Why for us ‘good’ is just not good enough!
Our continuous internal optimisation process, combined with intensive in-production monitoring by our in-house laboratory, assure for our customers constant flawless quality: porosity-free surfaces, homogenous mechanical strength data and shining bright surface finishes.
With the high production standards we set for them, our products assure the customer of cost-efficient, no-problem further processing, fabrication and treatment. Our innovative technologies enable us to produce top qualities at an attractive price.
Our Quality Assurance concept: Inspections and checks of every single quality-relevant feature immediately at the place of its occurrence enable us to achieve the very highest quality standards. All quality-relevant activities and parameters are recorded in detail and process-specific. Workshops and information events held at regular intervals, with all employees of the corresponding department(s) attending, serve the purpose of exchange of experience and form part of our continuous improvement process.
Our Quality Management is certified in conformity to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. We devote particular attention in this context to environmentally safe production.

High-tech programme for Quality Assurance
Intensive inspections and checks in our in-house test laboratory guarantee for the customer cold-rolled strip of consistent defined and flawless quality.
Here, the technological properties of Saar-Bandstahl products are tested to the tiniest detail. The laboratory’s range of modern measuring instruments assures systematic evaluation and documentation of the measured data in a form repeatable for the customer.
Innovative 3D depiction of surface structure sets completely new standards. Image-assisted metallographic evaluations, combined with precise imaging of the microscopically enlarged microstructure, generate clarity for the structure and materials properties – the preconditions for ever higher standards and user-orientated cold-rolled strip production, with consistent quality enhancement in production, further processing and fabrication.
Access to Saarstahl AG’s excellent test and analysis laboratories complete our range of high-performance inspection and test facilities, with the result that users can enjoy unlimited confidence in steel strip from the Saar, even in the context of exceptionally critical components and safety-relevant parts.
